<itunes:summary>Sleeper's Record Shack is a rockin' joint where you can hang out, enjoy a tasty beverage, and hear some boss music. Mainly reggae, but don't be surprised to find cats like Eddie Cochran, Link Wray, Le Tigre, Otis Redding, The Clash and many others on the playlists. As Nietzsche once said, "Without music, life is an error."</itunes:summary>

<img src="http://sleeper.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1024613/0x0_1054955.gif" alt="itunes pic" /><br />Dubbing Is A Must - Dub Syndicate
Jail Break - Sly & Robbie
Selassie I Continually - Disrupt
Tiger Claw Skank - Dry & Heavy
'Nuff Sugar - Alkaline
Two Face - Ticklah
Strike Fire - Sandoz
Step Like Pepper - Manasseh Meets The Equalizer
Joy To The World - Roots Radics
Pleasures Of The Dance - Ruts DC & Mad Professor

Charging from the bass, knives to the treble...some modern dubwise sounds.

Summer is short in my part of the world and so for the next couple of months I'm going to soak up the sun and take a break from the studio. Watch for some new episodes of Sleeper's Record Shack in the fall!

Cabaret Voltaire

Over And Over
Diskono
Blue Heat
Digital Rasta
The Operative
I Want You
Don't Argue

Something quite different this time at Sleeper's Record Shack - the noir electronic sounds of Cabaret Voltaire. In the 1980s, when other kids were digging Duran Duran and Culture Club, I was plugged into the subversive grooves of Cabaret Voltaire ("there's 70 billion people on Earth, where are they hiding?"). Maybe that's why I didn't get too many dates back then... Don't panic reggae fans: next episode is some heavy modern dub vibes. Soon come!

It's time to stir the pot at Sleeper's Record Shack and leave the reggae selections on the shelf for a couple of weeks. Gotta spin some platters that matter from the other half of my record collection and have a different kind of party. Strictly reggae fans won't dig it, but the reggae isn't gone - it's just sharing the dance floor with some rockers, soul men and beatniks from now on.
